EU-Cambodia Business Partnership
A collaborative effort to strengthen Cambodia’s private sector — helping SMEs grow sustainably and access new trade opportunities in the EU and ASEAN.
A joint commitment to growth and innovation
Launched as a strategic collaboration to increase economic and trade partnership between the European Union and Cambodia, this initiative supports SMEs to increase processing, enhance sustainability, and boost export capacities — with a strong focus on value addition, compliance, and decent employment.
With a total investment of USD 2 million, the EU-Cambodia Business Partnership runs from 2025 to 2028, supports up to 60 companies.
Joint Partnership
The EU-Cambodia Business Partnership is a joint effort by the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) implemented by GIZ with the financial support of the EU and Germany.
Together, we aim to strengthen Cambodia’s private sector by supporting SMEs to become more competitive, sustainable, and export-ready — especially as the country prepares for LDC graduation and deeper integration into global markets.
Goal: support enterprises in Cambodia to increase innovation, competitiveness and access to EU and ASEAN markets.
Specific objectives:
– Increased profit and sales to EU and ASEAN markets
– Increased (pre-)processing volumes and value addition
– Increased compliance with international standard and compliance
